Well, this is the follow up post to the one earlier today. I was just going to edit it but was worried that those of you with RSS would not be notified of the change so am just going to start from scratch…
I guess before I begin I should start with a little back story. About a month ago I had my second interview for the ILL manager position. I was REALLY hoping to get the job and actually thought that I might get it. Well, I found out one Sunday night/Monday morning that I did not get it. I was so sad and disappointed that I immediately started applying for jobs on the UCSD job site, JOBlink. I didn’t really think much of the jobs that I applied for. I mean, I applied for things that I thought I had a chance of getting but didn’t really care that much. It was just what I needed to do to help me feel better.
This is for you mom, happy early birthday! I guess most of you (you know, the two that actually keep up with this blog) are wondering what the heck I am doing posting in the middle of the day on a Tuesday. Well, last night we had my world famous french onion soup and for some reason every so often the soup makes me pretty nauseated the following morning. Like this morning. Sat was actually driving me to work when I realized today might be a good day to stay home sick. All those bumps with the bricks at the gate and then a quick u-turn that left my stomach reeling. So after another quick u-turn I called my boss and let him know I wouldn’t be able to make it in today. Although I still don’t feel a hundred percent Sat is positive that it is just my guilt at not going to work that is making me think that I don’t feel good.
