Recall!

So we got a recall notice for our car in the mail yesterday.  Normally when you get one of those the immediate reaction is anger, followed by frustration in trying to plan when to be without a car.  Me though, I laughed.  A lot.  I think the guy walking behind me thought I was nuts.

When we first got Sundai (our Hyundai Sonata) there was a funny light that would go on whenever I was in the passenger seat - “Airbag Off”.  Well, we looked it up in the manual and it seems there is a sensor in the passenger seat that will turn the air bag off if there is a small child in the seat.  I may be petite, but I am no small child.  So the next time we talked to the guy that sold us the car we asked about it.  He assured us that it wasn’t a problem and was common - Just wiggle around/move the seat up and it will turn off.

We haven’t really thought much of it until we got the recall.  And although it is a “voluntary” recall we will be taking the car in since I am all small and stuff.  The letter promised a rental so we are a little excited about being able to try out another Hyundai.  We really like ours but it is alway fun to drive someone else’s car.
