And here comes the flood!

Okay, it is time for this drought to be over! It has been a while since our last post and it was quite a doosey! It is time for Sat and I to get back on the horse and stick to our New Year’s Resolutions. So how to start? How about with an update on our New Year’s Resolutions!

Sat’s:

  • Exercising – seems to be happening. Took a mini vacation post accident, but has been stickin’ to it (as far as I can tell).

Colleen’s:

  • Walking from first bus stop – I think I am doing this very well! I have skipped a few times but I had good reasons! Like wearing heels, not wanting to deal with the construction, and carrying lots of “stuff” (more on that soon!).
  • No More Gilmore Girls – so I cheated and watched 20 seconds the other day. Oddly enough, I wasn’t really all that interested. I think I may have beaten the habit! But I have been watching a lot of “Still Standing”, “Reba”, and “What I Like About You” so maybe I’m not doing that great. . .

Joint:

  • Vegetable with dinner – you know, we were doing so well, and then got lazy. I would say we are in a slump – tired of the lettuce and chard that we keep getting but not willing to buy other veggies because the leafy greens are taking over our fridge. But I promise to be better. Really, I do!
  • Post more often – well, you can already tell how we are doing on this . . . we were rocking for a while and then I got a new job and everything went downhill fast! And now I have more to talk about . . . kind of. . . I’ll go into that story a little later too.

I just remembered something that Sat mentioned a while ago about our posting: Shorter posts more often – people get scared by long posts! So in an effort to do that I am going to cut this one short and move on to a little one. Beware; I may back date some of the posts because of when they were relevant.

We eat the same veggies week in and week out. Brussel sprouts, green beans, broccoli, bell peppers, carrots and beets. Sometimes we throw in asparagus, spinach (both of which are bad for Stacy's The Gout) swiss chard, tomatoes (when not in a sauce), potatoes (sweet, yam, or regular).

Maaaan, there are sooo many awesome vegetables out there - go get 'em!
