Well, I assumed that Sat wanted to finish and here it is a week later and he still hasn’t, so I guess it is my turn again. Good thing is, there isn’t much more to tell.
On Saturday we packed up the time share and headed East. Yes, I said East. My oldest brother (1/8) and his wife just happened to be visiting vegas the same weekend! I hadn’t seen T and J since my wedding, and then we didn’t really get to hang out because, well, I was getting married!
We didn’t have a lot of time to spend with them but tried to make the most of it. When we got to the Ritz Carlton (where they were staying) we met up with J just as she was headed to breakfast. T has a meeting until 11-ish so we ate with J (our 2nd breakfast) and got caught up. When T got out of his meeting he ran off to change real quick and then we took to the lake. Dad chartered a boat and we went out on Lake Las Vegas and just took in boated around the lake and talked a lot more. Dad and T talked banking, Mom and J talked American Idol, and Sat and I just sat and smiled at each other. Sat did have a chance to drive the boat though – his first time! He was quite the captain and did an AWESOME job backing the boat in. Yay Sat!
After a little time in the Casino at the Ritz Sat and I finally headed westward. We stopped in Baker again on the way home to pick up some Jerky for M and R for watching the cats. The ride home really seemed to suck. I was crazy dehydrated from the dry air in Vegas. I slept most of the way from Baker to SD – thank you Sat for driving!
We got back to SD around 6:45 and went straight to pick up the kitties. We got home about 1/2 hour later. We managed to get all of our stuff out of the car in two trips (and boy did we have a lot!). My parents emptied the fridge at the time share and sent it all home with me – so we had a TON of food, most of which Sat can’t eat.
Well, that about sums up our trip. The next day I went to work and had my last Sunday of work.
Phone ringing, post done, got to go!
