8 Days ’til Christmas

Well, it is my turn to write a post - and boy do I have some news! I got a call this afternoon at work to set up a phone interview for the ILL Manager position - go team! I had just been talking about this position with my friend S at work and then the next thing you know I get a call about it! I am hoping that they make their choice before the break but I am pretty sure that I will have all of the holiday closure (Dec 21-Jan 1) to worry about it. Oh well, at least I will have started the process. I am kind of excited that the first part of the interview is over the phone because I think I interview over the phone really well. People are totally going to laugh at me tomorrow because I will still be dressed up - it can’t hurt!

Tomorrow is the day of the class that I have arranged for other staff at the library. I wanted to complete some of the requirements for the “Work Leader Certificate” offered through campus HR and figured that I might as well do it with some of my co-workers so I rented a DVD from the self-study library and set up a viewing time and location so that a bunch of library staff can complete the requirement together. It should be fun. And if not, at least I didn’t have to watch the silly DVD alone!

Can you believe that I still have not gotten the box of Sat’s presents yet? I am more than a little worried that I won’t be getting it at all - that it is lost in the world for holiday rush UPS-ness. Oh well, less presents to wrap.

I heard from my sister today and it sounds like Collin will be in the hospital all week - which totally sucks.:( I just know that he is all over this “sick baby” business. Oh, and that he feels better soon.

Oh, and Sat is a bum. He stayed home all day today and didn’t do a darn thing. Oh the joys of being a grad student. . . lazy pieces of crapola. . .
